Computing Environment

Chapeau is supported on both Microsoft Windows and macOS. It is recommended that your computer’s operating system is current / has updates installed.

Windows

Chapeau is tested and supported on Intel processors for Windows 10 64-bit and Windows 11 64-bit.

macOS

Chapeau is tested and supported on Intel processors for the following macOS versions:

Ventura (macOS 13.6.x)
Sonoma (macOS 14.5.x)

Chapeau is tested and supported on Apple Silicon for:

Ventura (macOS 13.6.x)
Sonoma (macOS 14.5.x)

If you are running a Mac that has an Apple Silicon chip we recommend getting the Apple Silicon specific Chapeau from the download page instead of using the Intel processor app.

Note

Throughout the documentation images of the Chapeau user interface are utilized to illustrate functionality and point out highlights. All these images were created on macOS; however, the equivalent functionality exists on Windows, typically in the same location (e.g., buttons or menus) or way (e.g., drag and drop loading of files).
