The Chapeau Database

Your session data is stored in a Chapeau database on disk with the file extension .chapeau. These files can become quite large (several gigabytes) so be sure you have space on your disk.

New, Opening, and Closing

As you use Chapeau, the application will remember the last database you used. Athletes or coaches can, of course, have more than one database and may need to switch between them or start up a new database. Use the File menu to access this functionality.

Backup

We recommend you back up your database (.chapeau file on disk) by occasionally making a simple copy or zip of the original. This should be done when the Chapeau application is closed.

Summary

Athletes may be curious about their overall statistics for a specific database. Chapeau displays this information as a tooltip over the database icon in the upper right-hand corner.
